Literary Criticism

Literary criticism is a piece of opinion writing about the elements of a work of literature. Evidence to support the critic comes straight from the text. Literary criticism may interpret, analyze, compare or otherwise evalutate a piece of literature, usually focusing on literary elements like plot, theme, setting, characterization, etc..We study criticism by experts in the literary field to gain a deeper understanding of some element of the work we read.
